A Preliminary Exploration of the "Local Independence" in the Mid-and-late Tang Dynasty

"地方独立化"是唐代中期以后出现的最为突出的地方问题,其地位之重要关系到国家的治乱与地方格局的稳定。唐代的"地方独立化"不是固定不变的,而是始终处于发展与变化之中的,在不同的历史阶段,往往具有不同的表现与特征。

＂ Local independence＂ was the most prominent problems since the midst of the Tang Dynasty, which concerned the state＇s effort to combat confusion and stabilize the arrangement of local administration. However, the ＂local independence＂ in the Tang Dynasty was by no means stable, but was always in development and change and of different representations and features in different historical phases.
