In view of observing, determining and investigating from all sides, the applicable methods of study on age structures of clonal populations in rhizome grass were reported in this paper. It was detailed recommended that there were the selection of sampling plots, the sampling time, the sampling methods, the designated standards and the differeniated methods on ages of the tillers, the rhizomes and the buds, and the relative other methods of studies and determinations. It was appraised that the several methods were reported on the age structures of clonal populations in rhizome grass.
