大学英语读写课程常见练习的使用效果研究——以《新视野大学英语读写教程》为例 被引量:4

摘要 以《新视野大学英语读写教程》中练习设置为例,对大学英语读写教程的直接使用者——学生和教师进行实证研究,发现:教材中的练习仍沿袭传统模式,围绕语言形式设计,重语法和词汇,轻语言运用能力;其常见的练习类型对语言形式的学习起一定的积极作用,但不能有效促进语言实用性发展,难以充分满足学生将来实际使用语言的要求,学生在完成这些练习后缺乏成就感。因而,练习设置应具有多样性和真实性。 This study attempts to evaluate exercises design in New Horizon English Reading& Writing from students' and teachers' perspectives. The results indicate that the exercises design in these so-called "student-centered modern English course book" still follows the traditional exercise mold. Too much attention is paid to vocabulary and grammar, and the students' competence of using language was neglected. In addition, the most frequently used exercises in this course book do have pedagogical values, hut they are not conducive to promoting communicative use of the languages nor can they adequately meet students' needs. Furthermore, students fail to have a sense of achievement after finishing the exercises.
