It poimts out that eorrosion of steel bar in concrete is the main factor that affects the durability of reinforced eoncrete structures. Adding oorrosion inhibitor in concrete can effectively prevent the corrosion of steel bar. This article chiefly introduced the principle of rebar oorrosion and the development background of corrosion inhibitor, and discussed the mechanism of different kinds of corrosion inhibitor, then suggested that the MCI should be the development direction in the future.
