The dried fruit mite, Carpoglyphus lactis （Linnaeus） is one of the common storage mites with a worldwide distribution. Its population can easily increase at appropriate conditions. The mite can not only damage and contaminate the food and medicine containing sweet, but also make people ill with skin acariasis, lung acariasis, duodenal ulcer, intestines aeariasis and so on. The occurrence and damage of Carpoglyphus lactis was expatiated and the control measures of this mite were discussed accordingly.
