In 2008,although major full-fledged IT manufacturers and independent memory producers witnessed reduced performance in their memory business, EMC was an exception.Its whole-year revenue was USD14.9 billion, a robust 12%increase against all adverse elements.Despite the global economic crisis,EMC will continue to invest heavily in R&D in 2009 and focus on information storage, information protection,capturing value of information and virtualization technologies to drive fast product updating.At EMC,innovation will not stop as a result of the economic'winter'—it will flare up instead.
