摘要
肯尼斯.雷克思罗斯在"作为译者的诗人"一文中指出,将诗译成诗是一种同情行为,诗歌翻译是否成功的标准是同化。对雷氏而言,"同情"是译者投入到作者的经历之中并尽最大可能将其转化为自己语言的能力。本文结合雷氏的翻译实践,对他在论文中所展示的同情观作一探讨。
In his essay 'The Poet as Translator',Kenneth Rexroth asserts that the translation of poetry into poetry is an act of sympathy and the prime criterion of successful translation is assimilability.For Rexroth,sympathy is the translator's ability to project into the author's experience and then to transmit it back into one's own idiom with maximum viability.With reference to his practice of translation,this paper explores into Rexroth's idea of sympathy expressed in his essay.
