Under the context of feminism and the study of western history of science, this paper analyzes the theoretical foundation of feminist history of science. It suggests that social constructions of gender and science are two theoretical premises of the feminist history of science, expressing the deep connections between gender and science, and that the interactive construction between gender and science forms its historiography orientation and contents.
