本文从斯蒂芬·罗思曼(Stephen Rothman)对还原论的局限的阐释引出绝对的、纯粹的科学是否存在的问题。着重引用和解读了斯蒂芬·罗思曼著的《还原论的局限——来自活细胞的训诫》一书中的第十章"实验",以此来重点论证绝对的、纯粹的科学是不可能的。最后是本文作者对"科学的边界问题"的进一步论证与分析,并且指出:没有绝对的、纯粹的科学,只有近似科学。这是人们尽管不愿意却也不得不承认的事实。

This essay begins from Stephen Rothman＇s discussion about the limits of reductionism, educing the question of ＂whether the absolute and pure science is possible＂. Through citing and explaining chapter 10 of Lessons from the Living Cell The limits of reductionism, which was written by Stephen Rothman, this essay aims to justify that the absolute and pure science is impossible. In the end, the author of this essay demonstrates and analyzes the question of ＂the boundary of science＂ in a further step, pointing out that： there is no absolute or pure science, instead of approximate science. This is the fact whether people accept it or not.
