摘要
曹雪芹在《红楼梦》中创造性地采用了第一人称与第三人称的叙事手法,这一观点虽然在红学界颇存争议,但"石兄"作为第一人称叙事者的观点仍然为许多红学研究者所接受。本文通过对杨宪益、戴乃迭全译本《红楼梦》的文本解读,对翻译中如何传达原作者叙事风格进行了研究。由此发现,原作中所体现出的叙事风格,无论是显性的还是隐性的,在译本当中都得到了较妥当的处理。但是因为红学界在"石兄"、"神瑛侍者"和贾宝玉之间的关系上存在争议,或者是因为译者的翻译中处理失当,而使这种叙事风格并未获得完美的转译。
This essay interprets the translated versions of Dream of the Red Mansions by Yang Xianyi, Dai Naidie, and analyzes how to convey the author's narrative style in translation. Therefore, it is concluded that the narrative style in original novel, no matter it is explicit or implicit, is employed properly.
