摘要
通俗艺术是当代最富争议的艺术现象。由于其对精英艺术和现有艺术制度的破坏性挑战,遭到学术界的强烈批判。但同时,它又以难能可贵的亲和力,受到广泛的喜爱和拥护。为此,以舒斯特曼为代表的实用主义美学以开放、多元的眼光对其再定位,为其合法性进行了系统而深入的辩护,力图使现有艺术体制更大地包容之。
Popular art, as the most controversial cultural phenomenon, is often severely crilicized for its challenge to the elite art and present art system. However it is cherished by the mass for its accessibility. Pragmatic aesthetes represented by Richard Schusterman defend its legitimacy for its open, plural and tolerant philesophical-aesthetical perspective and try to include it in modem art system so as to adapt it to historic changes.
