This report shows how the sheep cashmere fabrics can be modified to produce an extremely soft handle like high quality cashmere to meet particular market requirements. This enables the sheep cashmere fiber to be used in a much broader range of products. In order to get very soft handle products, the most effective processes are to give a chlorination pretreatment followed by the polyurethane and the aminosilicone treatments under suitable conditions.
