文学史的内容与形式之争——以中国现代小说史为视角的考察

A Study of the Content- Form Controversy in Literature History through the History of Modern Chinese Fiction

文学史研究中，如何界定文学史内容与文学史形式的范畴，以及如何处理两者间的关系问题，一直颇具争议性。不同时期的文学史编撰，是偏重于文学史内容的充实，还是偏重于文学史形式的创新，是否暗藏规律性，两者到底孰轻孰重，如何处理才能相得益彰，都是有待进一步解答的关键性问题。本文将通过考察40余年来的中国现代小说史的编撰实践，试图为廓清这些疑问提供一个视角。

In researches of the history of the Chinese literature, the issues of how to define the concept of the content ＆ form of history of literature and how to handle the relation between them are still in controversy. Was content enrichment dominant or form innovation in literature history compilation of different periods？ Were there any hidden rules that governed the preference or the trend？ How to achieve a perfect balance of content and form？ These are critical questions to be asked and answered. Based on a study of the history compilation of the modern Chinese fiction in over 40 years, this article tries to present an approach to these issues.
