Empirical Analysis and Countermeasure on High Administrative Cost of Local Government in China

目前中国政府的行政成本已明显呈现出增长过快、规模过大的态势。行政管理支出庞大,造成财政吃紧,影响了经济建设、国防及文教等支出水平的提升,对经济增长产生了负面影响,这成为制约社会财富增长的一个重要因素。因此,加强机构改革、降低行政成本已经刻不容缓。

At present, our government＇s administrative cost has presented the situation of fast growth and excessive scale. The administrative expenditure was so huge that the finance became serious, affected the promotion of expenditure level of economic development, national defense and culture and education, had the negative influence to the economic growth, this became an important factor which restricted the growth of social wealth. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the institution reform and reduce the administrative cost.
