CoVer: a new version model to support collaborative design

在Ｃｈｅｃｋｏｕｔ模型的基础上提出了一种新的支持多用户协同设计的工程数据库版本模型ＣｏＶｅｒ．通过引入多工作区、代理、告知、语义协调检查、锁和观察等机制来支持长持久性的、交互的、协同的设计活动．虽然ＣｏＶｅｒ模型是根据ＩＣＣＡＤ提出的，但它对其他的工程领域也是适用的．

How to support collaborative design in a multi user and CIMS environment is an unsolved problem. Based on the checkout model, this paper presents a new version model CoVer to solve this problem. With the mechanisms of multi level workspaces, delegation, notification, semantic consistence check, and lock and view, the model CoVer gives us a satisfactory result. Although our model is based on IC CAD, it also applies to other fields.
