文章对瞿秋白一生的经历及其思想变化作了简略而客观的梳理与分析。文章提出:综观瞿秋白一生,他从最初的"名士"梦被惊醒,到最后走上政治这条不归之路,虽然其终生的文学活动和创作,都浸染了浓重的政治色彩,但其一生的心路历程始终没有突破传统的"文人"范畴。他是与鲁迅相互补充的、中国现代知识分子的一类典型。

The article briefly and objectively sorts out and analizes the life-long experience and ideological changes of Xu Qiubai, pointing out that his life started from the awakening of the dream marked by ＂A noted scholar＂ in his early days to his political career leading to his death. Though his life-long activities and creation of literature were immersed with strong political colors, his mental traces throughout his life never broke through the range of traditional ＂scholar＂. He was a type of modern Chinese intellectuals complementary to Lu Xun, another great scholar.
