摘要
语言是一个复杂系统，具有复杂整体的基本特征。在语言系统中，对语言运作的深层机理产生重大影响的有三种主要的因果关系。对这些因果关系的认识有助于理解一些语言研究的方法论原理。
Language is a complex system, demonstrating the basic characteristics of a complex whole. In the system of language,there are three basic kinds of causation： upward causation, downward causation, and horizontal causation, which have a great impact on the formation of the underlying mechanisms responsible for the language operation. The understanding of the kinds of causation will help to understand some important methodological principles in the study of linguistics.
