中美图书馆用户隐私权保护比较研究

A Comparative Study on the Protection of Library Patrons' Privacy between PRC and USA

论文通过对中美两国有关图书馆用户隐私权保护的法律和政策进行考察和比较分析,认为中国图书馆行业在该问题上与美国同行存在着差距,主要原因在于中国图书馆行业缺乏专门的法律和行业政策规范。在此基础上,论文对中国图书馆行业在用户隐私保护方面可能采取的努力提出了建议。

By investigating and comparative analyzing the law items and policies on the privacy protection of library patrons both in China and in US.A, this paper believes that there is a gap between Chinese library profession and American library profession in that issue,and the main reason rests with that the Chinese library profession lack special statue and the profession policy norm. Being on this base, it proposes some suggestions on how to improve the protection of the consumer＇s private matters in libraries of PRC.
