With the design of the Xiuying Girder-making Site of the Eastern Ring Railway in Hainan as a practical example, the planning of the 32 m and 24 m box girder-making sites is dealt with in the paper, with great stress placed on the design of beam-making platforms, beam-storing platforms, and forms for box girders. The success of the project may serve as a useful reference for the planning and design of other similar projects.
