Organizational Development and Changes of the Aim of Agricultural Association of China in the Early Years

1917年,江浙农界人士发起组织中华农学会,以联络同志,分工合作,推进中国农学研究及农事改进。中华农学会立会视野显然着眼于全国整个的农界,意在建立一个融会不同学派、覆盖不同地域的大农科的综合性学术研究团体。初期,中华农学会沟通南北农界,联合海外留学生农学团体,分设海内外分会,组织不断拓展演化。随着时势转移,其宗旨和事业也在调整转换。

In 1917, agricultural circles of J iangsu and Zhejiang Provinces contacted colleagues to establish the Agricultural Association of China in order to promote the agronomy research and agriculture improvement through division and cooperation. Obviously, they devoted to found a comprehensive nationwide institute consisting of different schools and different geographical scholars. The Agricultural Association of China combined with the North, South agricultural circles and overseas students＇ agricultural groups, to set up many branches in the early years. Meanwhile, the aims and cause adjusted with the changing times.
