美洲斑潜蝇对作物的危害较大，为摸清其生长发育规律、危害状况及防治方法，采取了定田定点的方法进行调查，针对其消长规律进行了不同药剂防治试验，结果表明。

iriomyga sativae Blanchard is a highly polyphagous species of the Agromyzidae. The larvae mines on many crop species such as lima bean,squash,cucumber,lettuce and pupates on leaf surface or on the ground. Populations are frequently very large,there are 11 generation in a year,breeding probably only being limited by the availablity of fresh growth in suitable host plants. In Zhuzhou region vegetables can be attacked between April and to December.Liriomyga sativae has recently become an important pest for a number of vegetables.Between July and September,large populations appear on lima bean,squash,cucumber,lettuce and so on.Morphology,effective insecticide and integrated management of the pest were given.
