摘要
王国维"自沉"的个案充分证明:作为"近代美学之父",在他身上凝聚了整个中国文化的超越精神,故尔其"自沉"便具有了超常的哲学意味。死,对于王氏来说,并不意味着所谓的"殉葬"、"殉道",而是生发为一种文化信仰、人格完成的象征;正是"死",使王氏的自由意志和生命美学焕发出不灭的光彩。文章对对王氏所醉心的"天才说"与"游戏说"予以特殊的关注。
A case study of why Wang Guowei "drowned himself" fully proves that as "Father of Contemporary Aesthetics", he was imbued with the transcent spirit of Chinese cuhure as a whole, therefore, the fact that he drowned himself possesses an unusual philosophical implication. As far as Wang was concerned, death did not mean what was called "being buried alive with the dead", or "sacrificing one' s life for a belief or truth", on the contrary, death was a symbol which generated a cultural behef and fulfilled a person' s personality ; it was his death that enabled his free will and his aesthetics of life to radiate everlasting brilliant hght. This paper pays special attention to "the definition of genius" and "the exposition of games" in which Wang was immensely interested.
