He played a very important role in the Literati＇ s especially in America; he is the initiator of contemporary short novels.O＇ Henty is a creative novelist, in his short stories the theme, the language, the framework and the ending all have his own characteristics. But a common feature of all his short stories is no doubt his humorous writing style. This paper aims at analysis, we can get a deeper understanding of O＇ Henry ＇ s humorous writing style and the function of it.
