An Age of Forgery——Study on Calligraphy and Painting Forgery in the Song Dynasty(Ⅰ)

宋代在中国封建社会中处于向后期过渡的时期。与汉唐社会的极盛相比,发生了很多新变化。国势衰弱,文化发达;生活贫困,思想自由;艺术市场活跃,造假成风。统观整个中国几千年的古代社会,各方面造假,已成中国文化的一大特色。但像宋代那样从政治到经济再到文化全面造假,而且造得有声有色,堪称历代之最。

The Song Dynasty is the transitional period from the middle to the end Feudal society. Compared with the glory of the Han and Tang Dynasties, many new changes happen. National power declines while culture prospers; life is impoverished while ideas are freed ; art market is active while forgery is popular. Reviewing the whole history of ancient Chinese society, forgery in various aspects has become a distinct characteristics of Chinese culture. However, complete and perfect forgery from politics to economy to culture like the Song Dynasty is unrivalled in history.
