摘要
采用数据包络分析方法,利用1970-2003年的118个国家地区的经济增长数据,分析了中国经济赶超的源泉问题。结论发现:中国在改革开放后的经济赶超主要源泉是要素积累;效率改进具有一定的积极作用,但影响逐渐减弱;技术进步对于经济赶超是负的影响,但开始改善。因此,中国经济赶超还是主要依靠要素投入引致的粗放型快速增长,这种赶超模式是不可持续的,如何能够实现从要素赶超到技术和效率赶超的转变,就成为当务之急。
With economic growth data from 118 countries through 1970-2003,we analyze the causes of China's economic catching up. The conclusions show that factor accumulation is the main reason for China's catching up,that efficiency improving has some but diminishing positive effects,and that technology progress has negative effects on catching up with some recent changes. Therefore,China's catching up is mainly based on fast factor accumulation and its extensive mode of growth,which can not be sustainable. It is critical for China to adopt technology and efficiency based rather than factor based catching up.
