Staphylococcal beta-hemolysin is a k.ind of exotoxin with the activity of phosphatidolipase C, which has the character of leucocytotoxicity and haemocytolysis. Moreover Staphylococcal beta-hemolysin is pathogenicity to cow mastitis, so it has more value to study in the field of immunoprohpylaxis and cell biology. Physico-chemical property and the mechanism of action on the cellular membrane are introduced. The toxicity and pathogenicity of beta-hemolysin are reviewed here.
