作者从理念、技术、服务三个角度，综述了深圳图书馆22年的发展历程，全面介绍了深圳图书馆在文献资源建设、计算机系统与应用系统构建、新技术应用、读者服务等方面的理念和具体实践，概括了深圳图书馆借助计算机及各类新技术，不断推出新的科技成果，不断创新业务手段，不断探索新型图书馆服务模式的重大进展。该文为2009年第三期“数字环境下的深圳图书馆专刊”文章之一。
