Statistical analysis on the novelty assessment of medical scientific projects in Hebei province from 2005 to 2007 is described in the paper from the following aspects： the characters, scopes, levels and disciplines of the projects. With the longitudinal and transversal comparision, the present status and existing problems of medical health research are reflected, so that the strategies and proposals for solving the problems are widely provided in the paper.
