Method of Improving Margin Sealing Area of Complete Denture

全口义齿修复后,义齿的脱落是临床工作中常见的问题之一。边缘准确的印模及工作模型对义齿的固位作用具有重要意义,是制作全口义齿的基础。自1992年以来采用了蜡片围模灌注方法来制取工作模型,对边缘封闭区域伸展范围与厚度建立了统一标准,使全口义齿戴入后与组织形态误差相对降低,提高了精确性和准确度,并且对义齿边缘的调改提供了可靠的缓冲范围。蜡片围模灌注法所得到的工作模型充分建立了全口义齿基托边缘在移行皱折处的高度和厚度,增强了大气压力和吸附力,使义齿在患者口内的固位力得到了明显提高。

It was believed that one of the most common clinical problems of complete denture is its falling off. It is significant for dentists to acquire accurate impression and making margin completely adapted in order to retain the complete denture in proper site. The method of Wax Piece Enclosed Impression (WPE1) was used in our clinic since 1992, especially to establish the clinical criteria of extension and thickness on margin sealing area. Therefore, the error between complete denture and tissue of oral cavity was decreased,and accuracy and precision of complete denture was increased. This method also provides reliable buffer for adjusting margin sealing area of compiete denture. The working die prepared in WPEI method provides for sufficient height and thickness at rugose migration of base margin sealing area,and it also increases atmospheric pressure and adhesion so as to retain complete denture in position and raise the masticatory efficiency.
