A Preliminary Probe into the h-index of the World Top 100 Enterprises

探讨了世界百强企业的h指数、申请专利数和营业收入之间的关系,结果表明只有专利权人的h指数与其申请专利数之间存在较显著的相关性,百强企业营业收入与其专利申请量和专利权人h指数之间则没有相关性,因而兼顾了专利数量和质量因素的专利权人h指数可作为对企业进行评价或排序的一个新的独立指标使用。

The correlations among patentees＇ h-indices, patent applications and turnovers of the world top 100 enterprises are probed. The results show that there is only positive correlation between patentees＇ h-indices and patent applications, while there are no correlations among patentees＇ h-indices and turnovers with patent applications and turnovers, so that patentee＇s h-index combined patent quantity and quality impact can be used as an independent indicator for enterprises＇ assessment or rank.
