摘要
文章针对网络备份系统的数据存储问题,在分析现有磁带卷格式的基础上,提出一种具有自描述特征的卷格式(SDVF)。与传统的磁带卷仅存储备份数据不同,该卷格式采用适当的冗余措施,将元数据和备份数据一起存储在磁带卷中,从而大大简化系统中备份与恢复、数据转储、灾难恢复、卷循环使用等功能的设计及实现。SDVF既可以用于虚拟磁带,也可以用于真实磁带。实际应用表明,SDVF能较好地解决网络备份系统中的数据存储问题。
the paper described the Self-Description Volume Forma （SDVF） based on problems of the data of backup of Net system by analyzing the currant tape formats. A volume format has the characteristic of self-description is different from the traditional tape. The format is set up the backup tactic for recovering, transforming and storing the data. In this paper mentioned the SDVF can be used both virtual tape and magtape. The problems of Net is also tackled by the SDVF.
