Recent research in translation studies has seen a greater emphasis on intersubjectivity. Based on the shift from subjectivity to intersubjectivity in philosophy, this paper has probed into the interrelationship between all subjects involving in translation by analyzing the samples taken from the Chinese version of Living History by Hilary Clinton. It proves that it is both necessary and feasible to maintain an interactive dialogue among all subjects on an equal footing, namely, all subjects including the writer, translators, sponsors and readers should try to achieve a sufficient understanding in order to be free of the plight brought by too much emphasis on the subjectivity of translation.
