摘要
设计了一种工作在S波段,频带宽度为400MHz,平均占空比≤10%,脉冲宽度≤200μs的1kW固态功率放大组件。组件采用四级放大结构,将5mW左右的激励信号放大到1kW,通过优化晶体管输入/输出匹配电路,应用三级Wilkinson功分/合成器,改善了组件增益平坦度和效率。测试结果表明,该组件在工作频率范围内输出功率≥1.2kW,效率≥30%,增益平坦度≤1.2dB。
This paper describes the design and fabrication of a 1 kW solid state power amplifier module which operating over s-band at a duty of 10 percent and with a pulse width of 200/μs, bandwidth of 400 MHz for radar application. The module consists of 4-stage cascaded power amplifier and the input signal of 5 mW can be amplified to over the peak of 1 kW. By optimizing matching circuits by using 3-stage Wilkinson divider/combiner the gain flatness and the thermal reliability is improved. Tests show the results of output of more than 1.2 kW corresponding to PAE of higher than 30% and gain flatness of 1.2 dB over the band.
