The Manifestation of the Translator's Subjectivity in Selection of Domestication and Foreignization

译者是翻译中最重要、最活跃的因素。译者对原语文本、翻译策略、译文风格的选择都充分体现其主体性。归化翻译与异化翻译是两种基本的翻译策略,在翻译过程中必不可少,不同翻译策略的选择也影响着译着主体性的呈现。

The translator is the most important and dynamic element in translation. The process of translating, the translator＇s subjectivity is manifested in selection of source texts, translation strategies and the styles of the translated texts. Domestication and foreignization are two basic translation strategies, and are necessary in the translating process. There- fore, selecting different translating strategies affects manifestation of the translator＇s subjectivity.
