The Role of Tea Industry on Economy and Ecology of Mountainous Areas in China

本文论述了茶产业在中国山区农村经济和生态中的作用。种植茶树可以提高山区绿色植被覆盖率,还可以为农民增收带来可观的经济效益,符合高效生态农业要求。茶叶生产规模灵活、产品体积小并具有高附加值,还适合开发观光农业,符合山区的生产条件。生态茶园一般有"专业茶园"、"茶-林间作"和"种-养循环经济模式"等3种类型。

The role of tea industry on agro-economy and ecology in mountainous areas of China was discussed. Tea growing increased green coverage and peasant＇s incomes in the mountainous areas in China, which is considered to be up to the mustard of benefit and ecoagriculture. Tea production scale is flexible,which is suitable for smallholder production. Tea is a value-added agro-product and has a longer quality guarantee period than the other agro-products such as fruits and vegetables. Tea industry can be combined with tourist agriculture. These features endow tea industry with advantages in mountain agriculture. There are three patterns of ecological tea garden in China,i. e. specialized tea garden,tea-forest intercropping and tea-animal cultivation recirculating system.
