By analysing the parts classification manage ment through PDM, the sorting method and application technics of spare parts classification are realized, based on practical work in XTMC. It proves that classification management helps inquiry and search cybernate in terms of spare parts design and technics information. Utilization factor of current design and manufactural resource are improved. The enterprise competition in the market is greatly enhanced.
