和谐社会视野下农民工合法权益问题研究

Protecting the Rights and Interests of Migrant Workers to Build a Harmonious Society

胡锦涛总书记在党的十七大报告中指出,完善和落实国家对农民工的政策,依法维护劳动者权益。可见,构建和谐社会必须保障农民工的合法权益。然而目前我国农民工在政治、经济、社会、人身等方面的合法权益还难以保障,必须通过改革户籍制度、制定相关法律、加大宣传教育等路径,改善农民工合法权益缺损的现状,促进社会和谐发展。

General Secretary Hu Jintao requires us to improve and implement government＇s policies concerning migrant workers in cities and protect their rights and interests in accordance with law. It is thus clear that their rights and interests must be protected to build a harmonious society. But, at present, it is difficult to protect their political, economic,social and personal rights and interests. In order to change the status quo ,promote harmonious development of society,we should take effective measures, such as changing the existing household registration, system, formulating relevant laws and making greater efforts to strengthen publicity and education, etc.
