United the United Front Front Work Department of colleges and universites plays a basic role in promoting ＇ work to unite people of various fields. The main reason is that colleges and uni- versities can serve as not only the cradle of the growth of non- Party intellectuals and their represen- tatives but also those who from all walks of life outside the Party. The forward- looking strategies emphasis on making full use of the two aspects of service mentioned above and making greater contributions to the development of the work of the united front.
