The conference, “ISEE2008 NAIROBI： Applying Ecological Economics for Social and Environmental Sustainability” was a joint undertaking by the International Society for Ecological Economics （ISEE）, African Society for Ecological Economics （ASEE） and the United Nations Environment Programme （UNEP）.
