Reconstructing Mythological View with Wholeness

神话不是一类幻想材料,也不只是听起来好玩的故事。神话是一种关于人与宇宙万物之间普遍联系的认知和思维模式,这种思维模式在人类思想的早期时代广泛存在,因而与很多文化门类都有着深刻的内在联系。就中国的神话研究而言,无论是单纯从文学的角度研究神话,还是执着于神话的历史化问题,都缺乏一种对神话的整体性观照。只有将神话视作一种整体性的思维方式和价值体系,才能真正理解其生生不息的缘由。对于受人类中心主义和工具理性主宰已久的今人来说,整体性神话观将提供新的智慧启迪。

Myths are not just materials {or illusion, nor interesting stories for fun, but a cognitive and thinking model connection between humans and the universe. Such thinking model did exist broadly in earliest humans so there was close interconnection among various cultures. As far as study of Chinese myth is concerned, it is a fact that the study is lack of wholeness over myth both in the perspective of literature and myths＇ historiealization. It is argued that myths can be understood fully only in the way that myths are considered as a whole of thinking way and value system. For the humans of today who are of human-centeredness and tool rationality, the myth view of wholeness will function as new enlightenment for wisdom.
