Formation of Mongolian epic texts of multiple meaning structures

文章探讨了蒙古史诗的诗句、母题、人物名称、神话因素如何在程式化创编和传播机制中形成为史诗多重意义结构的不同层面,认为诗句、母题、人名、神话都有自身的表面意义和深层意义,由它们的种种关系、不同组合和意义交叉所形成的史诗文本的意义是多层而多变的。

This paper examines how the factors—— poems, the subject, character names and myths form different epic levels of multiple meaning structures during programmed creation and spreading mechanism. It is argued that each the above-mentioned factors does carry surface and underlying meanings. Therefore, the meanings of the epic texts are multiple because they are formed by various relations, different combinations and overlapped connotations.
