上博楚竹书(四)《曹沫之陈》“连”释义

Interpretation of the Term Zhanlian(■连) Appeared in the State Chu(楚) Bamboo Slips Collected by Shanghai Museum

本文对《上海博物馆藏战国楚竹书》（四）《曹沫之陈》第32号简“戟连”进行了重新考释，认为“戟连”当读为“赣辇”，指服务于军事活动的运输工具。简文中供“戟辇”役使的“白徒”，为获罪没身服劳役的罪隶。

This paper provides a newer textual study and explanation of the word Zhanlian in the State Chu Bamboo Slips preserved in Shanghai Museum(VolsⅣ). It holds that this word should be read as Zhannian(輚辇),which refers to a type of military transportation equipment. The persons who were supposed to use that type of equipment called Baitu(白徒) were enslaved criminals.
