荀子与孟子思想的交集

Intersection of Xunzi's Thoughts with Those of Mencius's

作为先秦儒学发展史上的重要人物,荀子与孟子虽然在人性的善与恶、社会的治理路径等问题上有着明显的不同,但两人在尊崇孔子、发展儒家思想、批判非儒学说、王霸观念、重视个人道德品质修养等方面有着相当大的交集面。在某些问题上,荀子在批评孟子时,也受了被批评对象——孟子的影响。

As the important characters in the development of Confucianism during Pre - Qin period, Xunzi and Mencius had obvious different ideas on the good and evil of the human nature; the path of social administration, etc. But they have similar ideas and intersec- tion on worshipping Confucius ; developing the thought of Confucianism; animadverting anti - Confucianism; the understanding on the ＂wang ＂and ＂ba＂ ; stressing personal moral euhivation. On some issues, Xunzi had been influenced by Meneius at the same time when he criticized Meneius.
