在柴达木盆地西部地区的钻井施工过程中,地层造浆严重,导致钻井液固相含量高,严重影响了钻井速度。为了缩短建井周期,降低钻井综合成本,减少井下复杂情况的发生,采用了快速钻井钻井液技术。现场应用表明,快速钻井钻井液具有抑制能力和悬浮能力强、润滑防卡和防塌性能良好、钻井机械钻速快等优点;该钻井液中固相含量低,剪切稀释性强,有利于降低循环压耗,充分发挥水马力,增强水力破岩作用。使用快速钻井钻井液所钻的井与2007年使用聚合物钻井液所钻井相比,尕斯北区平均机械钻速提高了15.3%,砂西地区平均机械钻速提高了93.7%,乌南地区平均机械钻速提高了14.1%。
Severe mud-making formation was drilled in wells in the west of Qaidam Basin, leading to a high drilled solids content of the active mud and a low penetration rate. Downhole problems associated with the high solids content made the drilling cost unexpectedly high. To address this problem, a fast drilling fluid formulated with polymers was used. The hydration of the formation clay was inhibited by the use of this fast drilling fluid. Moreover, the fast drilling fluid had good cuttings carrying capacity and lubricity as well as shear-thinning characteristics. Drilled solids content of the active mud was reduced and penetration rates were enhanced as a result of the fast drilling fluid application. Average penetration rates of wells drilled with fast drilling fluid were increased by 15.3% in north Gasi area, 93.7% in Shaxi area, and 14.1% in Wunan area, respectively, compared with that obtained using conventional polymer drilling fluids in year 2007.
