毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系,是马克思主义普遍原理与中国革命和现代化建设实践相结合的两大理论成果,是矗立在马克思主义中国化进程中的两座丰碑。中国特色社会主义理论体系是对毛泽东思想的继承和发展,它们前后相承、一脉相通。党的十七大强调指出,在当代中国,坚持中国特色理论体系,就是真正坚持马克思主义。

Mao Zedong Thought and the Socialist Theoretic System with Chinese Characteristics, as two essential theories harvested from applying Marxist general principles into Chinese revolution and modernization drive, are regarded as two theoretical monuments standing tall in the process of adapting Marxism to Chinese actual conditions.
