在毛泽东的哲学思想中洋溢着一种积极入世、积极干预的人生观与历史观。他非常注重主观世界(尤其是意志)对于社会历史的积极意义,希望藉此摆脱人在历史面前的消极被动局面。这不仅是直接面对社会历史环境的选择,也是毛泽东哲学思想发展的逻辑必然。鉴于毛泽东在其人生的不同时期对主观意志的把握是不同的,毛泽东一生可以划分为青年毛泽东、建国前的毛泽东以及社会主义建设时期的毛泽东三个时间段,并分别做出考察。

He very much values the role of one＇s subjective world （will in particular）, in the hope of removing the passive situation in the face of history. This distinguishing characteristic exists not only in his own outlook on life and history, but also in his practices in modem Chinese history. It is worth noting that this distinguishing characteristic mentioned before in Mao＇s philosophy is the direct choice before history, and also the logical development of Mao＇s philosophical thoughts.
