摘要
世德堂本并非百回本《西游记》的初刻本,其初刻本可能是盛于斯《休庵影语》中提到的周府刻本。世本之前的版本流变应该是:吴承恩稿本——荆府抄本——周府九十九回抄本——周府百回刊本——世德堂本。世德堂和荣寿堂共同出资刊刻并印刷了百回本。后板片归熊云滨,又经多次印刷。其中台湾世本是熊云滨的补刻重印本,天理世本是熊云滨的补修重印本。熊云滨亦曾单独刊刻过百回本《西游记》。
Shidetang's edition of Journey to the West is not the first block-printed version.The reasonable sequence of the popular edition's development should be as follows: Wu Cheng-en's version,Jing's handwritten copy,Zhou's handwritten copy of 99 chapters,Zhou's block-printed version of 100 chapters and Shidetang's edition.Shidetang and Rongshoutang paid together for the block printing of the 100-chapter edition.Later Xiong Yunbin owned the board of blocks and had the book printed many times.
