摘要
从《易经》开始．就有关于隐士的记载．但称谓纷纭而杂乱．《二十四史》以及历代野史对隐士的称谓更趋复杂化．在一定程度上也反映了隐士的类型各有不同。其文化内涵也各异．兹作一系统之梳理，对进一步研究隐士是必要的准备工作。
Book of Changes and The Twenty-four Histories and other informal historical books all re cord the appellations of the recluses in rather different terms. This reflects the variation of types of reelu ses with special cultural implications. The paper, therefore, offers a systematic account for the ease of re searches on recluses.
