The Pingbei anti-Japanese base is a significant component of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei base. It is located in the region joining what were then Hebei, Rehe, and Chahar provinces, and the cartoon government, enjoying an extremely strategic importance. The anti-Japanese struggles here appear influential for the victory in the north China at a complicated domestic situation.
