he system structure and technical features of the microprocessor—in the Pentium Pro(P6) of INTEL is introduced. Through the retrospect about the development process of the microprocessors design technology and the analysis of the sucessful application in the P6 of the RISC technology such as superscalar,superpipline, branch prediction, dynamic scheduling, outoforder execution, the article indicates that the combination of CISC technology and RISC technology will be the main development tendency of the new microprocessor technology.
