摘要
介绍了Intel的PentiumPro(P6)微处理器芯片的体系结构和技术特点.通过对微处理器设计技术发展过程的回顾和对超标量、超流水、分支预测、动态调度及乱序执行等RISC技术在P6中成功应用的分析,说明了CISC技术和RISC技术相融合将是微处理器技术的主体发展趋势.
he system structure and technical features of the microprocessor—in the Pentium Pro(P6) of INTEL is introduced. Through the retrospect about the development process of the microprocessors design technology and the analysis of the sucessful application in the P6 of the RISC technology such as superscalar,superpipline, branch prediction, dynamic scheduling, outoforder execution, the article indicates that the combination of CISC technology and RISC technology will be the main development tendency of the new microprocessor technology.
